Road Trip to Bushkill Falls ....

Lot of good things are happening lately. firstly there is sunshine :) and then there is the long weekend coming up in few days, yaay!!

I am very excited about both since there is hardly few months of great weather in the East coast & secondly the advent of Agile & Devops has made the life of we the IT folks way more hectic....
There is hardly any time to breathe between the umpteen number of stand up calls & additional responsibilities that come along with the agile methodology...
One of these days i am planing to tell "I am going off to a far away place for a vacation" when my scrum master asks me the next time, "what are you planning to do today & tomorrow" ;)

Last weekend I was in a mood for some hiking. So me & wifey planned to visit Buskill falls....

Bushkill falls is a group of privately owned water falls connected through a hiking trail.
If you are not into hiking or you are accompanied by kids or elders you can just visit the main waterfalls that is easy to reach.. Bushkill falls is located near the Delaware water gap & fits into the itinerary for a one day tour for NJ residents....

The trip
We usually select the highways to reach our destination. However in one of our previous trips there was an accident on a highway & the GPS suggested an alternate route.
We took the detour & fell in love with the country side of Jersey.... As a matter of fact these days when we do the route planning for any trip we see if there are any country side routes en-route & seek out the same.... Even for the Bushkill falls trip we happened to avail the country side route & it was really breath taking.

We reached Buskill around 2PM & headed off for the long hike.... The hike was really exhausting & exhilarating at the same time....The milky white falls covered by a blanket of lush greenery, the tiny water streams & the wooded landscape made the hike a joyous experience.
We completed the entire trail  by 3:30PM...it was a refreshing experience overall.....

So this completes a small write-up of the beautiful Bushkill falls Trail... see you until next time.
